LISBON – Joshua L. McIntyre, 43, East Canton, was served a secret indictment charging him with aggravated trafficking in drugs, a second-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony; trafficking in cocaine, a third-felony; possession of cocaine, a third-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony; for methamphetamines and other controlled substances he allegedly had on April 24, 2021.

Amanda B. Hines, 35, Cincinnati, was served a secret indictment charging her with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly having methamphetamines on April 4, 2021.

The indictments were both issued by the grand jury in May.

LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set June 9 for Ryan Thompson, 39, a homeless man from the Salem area, charged with two felony counts of assault on a peace officer, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

Thompson was jailed under a $25,000 cash or surety bond and ordered to have no contact with Call Sign Alpha, a business at 650 E. Second St., Salem, where he allegedly tried to gain access on May 27.

He told police who responded that he owned the gun store and needed to get inside, but was told that he did not own the store and to leave. He refused after being told multiple times by officers to leave, and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. He became agitated and began yelling at personnel on the scene, allegedly making threats towards officers, fire department medics and EMT personnel, kicking officers when being taken out of the patrol car to be placed in an ambulance and spitting in the face of a firefighter.

A pretrial was set June 16 for Jamie Nicholson, 42, Lincoln Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with assault and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Nicholson was jailed under a $75,000 cash or surety bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim. He allegedly grabbed a woman by the throat and was choking her at a Hibbetts Mill Road property in Wellsville on May 22, got into the driver’s seat of her car and started driving. She jumped out and he left with her vehicle.

A pretrial was set Aug. 11 for Graig Whitey-Allen Hair, 55, Barberton, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools, for allegedly answering an undercover ad placed on a known escort website by a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent and arranging to meet in East Palestine on May 18 for sexual acts in exchange for $60.

A pretrial was set Aug. 16 for Lester Jay Hinkel, 63, Canton, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools for allegedly soliciting sexual conduct in exchange for $80 after answering an undercover ad placed by a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent he arranged to meet in Salem on June 1.

Mark Gorgacz, 69, New Castle, Pa., was fined $750 and received a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools. Gorgacz answered an ad placed by an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent on a known prostitution website and offered $80 in exchange for sexual activity, arriving for an arranged meeting in East Palestine on March 20.

David Reddinger, 49, Monaca, Pa., was fined $750 and received a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools for showing up in East Palestine on April 8 for an arranged meeting after requesting sexual activity in exchange for $60 in answer to an undercover ad placed by a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent.

Beth Hale, 36, Deming Street, Salem, was ordered to send a letter of apology to the Salem Police Department as part of her punishment for falsification, along with being fined $450 and being ordered to complete 20 hours of community service. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 179 days suspended and credit for one day served. Hale had been taken into custody for obstruction on Sept. 20, 2020, then on Nov. 8, 2020 she sent a letter to Salem Mayor John Berlin regarding the arrest, with false information. The chief of police and a sergeant reviewed body camera footage of the incident and determined that multiple false statements were made.

Andrew Shafer, 43, Shady Lane, Lisbon, was fined $250 and sentenced to 80 days in jail, with credit for 10 days served, for telecommunications harassment for continuing to contact the female victim in Lisbon through 10 text messages after she blocked his number and after being told by Columbiana County sheriff’s deputies on two separate days to have no contact with her. On March 30 while the victim was making out her statement, he was sending pictures of himself.

A pretrial was set June 16 for Brandon Gust, 23, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly slamming a door into the face of his 3-year-old son, causing a large bruise on his head May 31. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the alleged juvenile victim.

Justin Bell, 32, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $350 and given credit for 52 days already served in jail for violation of a protection order. Bell violated the protection order by going to a Hanoverton property on Ziegler Road on April 11 and having contact with the victim.

Hunter Congrove, 19, state Route 45, Lisbon, was fined $200 and given a 30-day jail term, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served, for disorderly conduct for his behavior at a residence on state Route 45, Lisbon, on May 14 when he was highly intoxicated, warned several times to stop yelling and go inside, then said an expletive to police and told them to take him to jail.

David Crowe, 37, Saltwell Road, Lisbon, was fined $950 and sentenced to 180 days in jail for falsification, two counts of driving under suspension and two counts of obstructing official business. Crowe had multiple warrants against him and became uncooperative and gave false information about his name and date of birth to a wildlife officer assisting the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 25, 2021, entered his vehicle and fled through a creek and into the woods in the area of a campground in Yellow Creek Township where the vehicle was later found abandoned. During a separate traffic stop in Columbiana, he gave a different name and had a citation issued under the false name. Police learned after the fact that the name was false.

A pretrial was set Aug. 22 for Heather Hurst, 50, Brookfield Avenue, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly slapping her live-in boyfriend on the face and ear, causing pain and discomfort, on May 26 on Brookfield in Lisbon.

A theft charge against Justin Ingledue, 33, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, was dismissed. The charge stemmed from allegations of failure to return company equipment in February to Ingledue’s former employer.

A pretrial was set July 19 for Matthew Mraz, Edgewood Drive, Columbiana, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana for allegedly having suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia items in his bedroom in Columbiana on June 1. Family members had requested a welfare check on him.

A pretrial was set Aug. 16 for Maribel Dailey, 43, state Route 344, Leetonia, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a glass pipe and a container with alleged THC after pulling into a driveway on West 16th Street in Salem where police were executing a Columbiana County Drug Task Force search warrant on May 17.

Darby Elder, 30, Hartley Road, Alliance, was fined $975, sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days for attending a driver intervention program for operating a vehicle under the influence and reckless operation. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.

Alexander Raymon Morris, 33, Youngstown, was fined $1,015 for operating a vehicle under the influence, open container and failure to control, had his license suspended for a year and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days for attending a driver intervention program.

A pretrial was set June 13 for Jeffery Tyler Roe III, 18, Montana Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence.

A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Jerry Holben, 46, South Madison, Salem, charged with driving under suspension.

Vincent Hill, 31, Youngstown, was fined $40 for improper/expired registration and had a forfeiture charge dismissed.

A pretrial was set Aug. 16 for Raj Birain Parikh, 20, Closter, N.J., charged with traffic control devices.

EAST LIVERPOOL — In East Liverpool Municipal Court, Joshua L. Rudder, 31, Birch Road, waived his rights to a preliminary hearing on a charge of fleeing, failure to comply for allegedly failing to stop the vehicle and driving from law enforcement at a high rate of speeding on Feb. 25.. A June 9 continuance was set on a driving under suspension citation. He was fined $150 for a safety equipment violation, reckless operation, a stop sign violation, seat belt violation and a lane violation. An illegal plates citation was dismissed.

A July 14 preliminary hearing was set for Brenda Hanlon, 58, Birch Road, for theft for allegedly shoplifting 150 items totaling $1,409.

A June 9 pretrial was set for Tiyler P. Tataseo, 22, state Route 170, charged with domestic violence and carrying a concealed weapon for harming Sara Felton, his wife, and having a loaded handgun in the driver’s side panel of his vehicle on Tuesday.

A June 7 pretrial was set for William D. Fletcher, 46, Hess Road, charged with two counts of domestic violence for allegedly choking and pushing Mercedes Fletcher and pepper spraying both her and Trudy Fletcher on Wednesday.

A June 9 pretrial was set for John D. Miscuk, 26, Martin Street, charged with domestic violence for alleged harm to Brittany Buckels on Thursday.

A July 21 status conference is set for Bettina M. Williams, 42, Commerce Street, Wellsville, charged with theft for allegedly failing to pay for 11 items totaling $94.

A July 28 pretrial was set for Jamie L. Nicholson, 42, Lincoln Avenue, cited with drug abuse instrument and possession of marijuana.

A June 9 status conference was set for Ronald A. Greathouse, 53, Main Street, Wellsville, charged with theft for allegedly failing to pay for 24 items totaling $274 on Jan. 13.

Joseph L. Boyer, 50, Ogden Street, was fined $300, required 20 hours community service and credited with 20 days served in jail for domestic violence and assault amended from another domestic violence for pulling Chrystal Petty’s hair on May 13, and punching her repeatedly on April 28.

Heidi L. Laneve, 49, Imperial, Pa., waived her rights to a preliminary hearing on charges of breaking and entering and petty theft and driving under suspension for allegedly stealing items out of Joseph Cataldo’s garage on May 25. She also was fined $250 and ordered 20 hours community service for drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.

Kelsey M. Jarvis, 29, Winston Drive, was fined $250, required 20 hours community service and ordered to serve three days of house arrest for theft for shoplifting 20 items totaling $212 from the Calcutta Walmart.

Casey M. Cunningham, 41, East Eight Street, was fined $150, credited with four days served in jail and ordered to served 28 hours community service for theft and criminal tools for shoplifting tools from the Busy Beaver.

A July 21 status conference is set for Erik R. Taylor, 36, Ohio Avenue, charged with domestic violence for allegedly frightening a woman and a child until they hid in a bathroom on March 31.

A July 28 pretrial was set for Diego B. Gonzalez, 33, Norton Street, cited with criminal damaging for allegedly breaking a window by throwing a flower pot at a Woodland Hills apartment.

The following failed to appear: Michael A. Iagulli, 30, Riverview Street, cited with OVI first offense, failure to obey a traffic signal and endangering children for allegedly driving while intoxicated with an infant in the vehicle on Feb. 23; Richard W. Herdt, 57, Beaver Falls, Pa., cited with speeding; and Zane M. Dulaney, 20, Chester, W.Va., falsification.
